Common use of Additional Addressee Clause in Contracts

Additional Addressee. The CHC-MCO must comply with HIPAA and State law requirements and have administrative mechanisms for sending copies of information, notices and other written materials to a Participant’s legal guardian, agent under power of attorney, or other designated third party, as per the request and signed consent of the Participant. The CHC-MCO must develop plans to process such individual requests and for obtaining the necessary releases signed by the Participant to protect the Participant’s confidentiality rights.
