Common use of Additional Certified Coverage Clause in Contracts

Additional Certified Coverage. Teachers who are asked by the administration to perform administrative duties on an emergency basis for one or more days shall be compensated at the rate of an additional thirty dollars ($30.00) per day. Teachers shall not be regularly assigned to cover the absences of other teachers. In situations of bona fide emergencies, teachers may be assigned such duties when time does not permit the securing of a regular substitute or a substitute is not available. Teachers who are asked by the administration to substitute for a teacher on an emergency basis during their prep time, for one or more days shall be compensated at the rate of thirty dollars ($30.00) per hour for each hour of such duty performed.
