Common use of Additional Encumbrance Clause in Contracts

Additional Encumbrance. (a) The Charges are in addition to and are not in any way prejudiced by any other guarantees or Encumbrance now or subsequently held by the Chargee. (b) No prior Encumbrance held by the Chargee (in its capacity as such or otherwise) over any Charged Asset will merge into the Charges.
