Additional Locks and Keys Sample Clauses

The "Additional Locks and Keys" clause establishes the rules and responsibilities regarding the installation and management of extra locks or keys on a leased property. Typically, it specifies whether tenants are permitted to add locks, who bears the cost, and the requirement to provide copies of new keys to the landlord. For example, if a tenant wishes to install a deadbolt for added security, this clause would outline the approval process and key distribution. Its core function is to balance tenant security needs with the landlord’s right of access, preventing unauthorized changes and ensuring both parties maintain appropriate access to the premises.
