Common use of ADDITIONAL SERVICES AND FACILITIES Clause in Contracts

ADDITIONAL SERVICES AND FACILITIES. 12.1 The Operator may equip and maintain in the Units without separate charge to the Resident, an emergency alarm system to the Unit so that the Resident has access to support from staff at Sevenoaks Lodge on activation of said alarm. The staff will make a phone assessment of the Resident’s need and advise accordingly. The Operator may also arrange the provision of a personal medical alarm to the Resident upon request, but this service will be subject to a separate charge pursuant to clause 3.2(e). 12.2 The Operator will provide night-time security to the Village, together with lighting to illuminate the movement of Residents and guests around the common areas at night, and will maintain this security and lighting at all times during the term without separate charge to the Resident. 12.3 The Operator may arrange for independent contractors (for example, hairdressers, podiatrists) to attend at the Village and each Resident wishing to use any such service will be required to pay a separate charge as levied by the provider of the service. 12.4 The Operator shall consult with the Resident about any proposed changes in the services and benefits provided or the charges that the Resident pays that will or might have a material impact on the Resident’s occupancy or ability to pay for the services and benefits provided.
