Adjusted Cost. As of any date of determination and until such time as the Company completes an Asset-based Valuation, the sum of: (a) other than with respect to Joint Ventures, the actual amount invested on behalf of the Company in Properties, Loans and other Permitted Investments as of the date of determination and (b) with respect to Joint Ventures, (1) the actual amount invested on behalf of the Company in the Joint Ventures as of the date of determination plus (2) the Company’s allocable share of capital improvements.
