Adjustments to Reported Taxes. If the Department determines that a payment remitted by a taxpayer incorrectly identifies the city or town to which the payment should be made, the Department may temporarily hold the payment until the distribution of the payment is corrected to ensure the appropriate city or town receives the payment. If a payment by the Department has been made to an incorrect City/Town, the Department and affected Arizona municipalities shall follow the Standard Inter-Jurisdictional Transfer Process Map.
