The Advertising Positions clause defines how and where advertisements will be placed within a publication, website, or other media platform. Advertising Positions. All positions of at least one years’ duration must be advertised nationally.

6.1.2.3.1 An emergency hire situation arises when there is an unanticipated absence of an employee, the time available to secure the services of a qualified employee is less than twenty-one (21) days, and there is no other employee with a right of first refusal to the work.

Advertising Positions. 11.3.1 All positions shall be advertised internally in the first instance. However where the pool of applicants is likely to be unduly restrictive, the position may, at the discretion of the Chief Executive Officer, or his/her delegate, be advertised internally and externally simultaneously.
11.3.2 Before any position is advertised, a job description will be developed and classification level assessed. The advertisement for the position shall include the essential criteria for the position.
