Advertising Positions. Except as provided under s77HB of the State Sector Act 1988 positions of at least one year’s duration must be advertised nationally. However where a permanent unit is to be allocated but there is no vacancy attached to that unit, the employer shall advertise internally the roles and responsibilities attached to the unit.

No permanent appointment shall be made until after the application deadline. 8.2.2 The written notice of vacancy shall contain: (a) type of vacancy; (b) position description; (c) starting date; (d) qualifications; and (e) salary to be determined using State and local schedules upon verification of employment history. 8.2.3 An employee who desires a move to a posted position must file an application no later than the closing date for applications set forth in the posting notice.
