After-hours restrictions. (a) Taking a second paid job that conflicts with the duties of your municipal job is prohibited. (See Section 23(b)(1)) A municipal employee may not accept other paid employment if the responsibilities of the second job are incompatible with his or her municipal job. Example: A police officer may not work as a paid private security guard in the town where he serves because the demands of his private employment would conflict with his duties as a police officer.
