Common use of Agent Deposit Protection Clause in Contracts

Agent Deposit Protection. Where a tenancy deposit has been received by the Agent and not passed to the Landlord, the deposit will be kept in a separate and secure client account ready for refunding (less any charges due) at the end of the tenancy, or forwarded to one of the Government-regulated deposit schemes listed above. The Agent will also provide the Tenant and any other Relevant Person with the prescribed information. The Landlord agrees that the Agent may use information given, including information about the Landlord, for the purposes of performing the Agent’s obligations to the Landlord and supply such information as is reasonably required to the scheme.
