Airport Security and Safety. All personnel of the Engineer or Contractor will have to undergo a Security and Safety Awareness Programme before the start of the contract. The Engineer/Contractor shall ensure that airport security is at all times complied with by his own personnel, all subcontractors and their personnel as well as all suppliers. Access to the security area for personnel, vehicles and construction plant can only be obtained with permission from the Employer. Permits may be required for personnel and vehicles frequently moving through the security check points and shall at all times be visibly displayed while a person or vehicle is within the security area. Identity Documents must be available and presented on request. Permits are only valid for a specific area inside the security area and the responsibility rests with the Contractor to control the movement of personnel, plant and vehicles to ensure their compliance with this requirement. A Prime Cost Sum has been provided for the cost of any permits required. The Contractor will be required to provide permits for each and every material delivery vehicle entering the site, and they are to be escorted by a permit and radio license holder. The Employer may withdraw any or all permits without prior notice in the case of misuse, in which case the Contractor will have no claim against the Employer. The Contractor shall make specific arrangements with the Employer, through the Engineer, to ensure the expedient delivery of time-dependent materials such as asphalt. If required, the Contractor shall supply additional security personnel, approved by the Airport Manager to assist with security control. If, due to the extra volume of construction traffic that has to pass through security, additional entrance facilities have to be provided, it shall be done in consultation with the Airport Manager and Engineer. These facilities and personnel have to be provided by the Contractor.
Airport Security and Safety. The County and the Union recognize the considerable importance of airport security and safety policies and procedures, and in the interest thereof, hereby agree as follows:
1. All employees whose job duties require that they operate a motor vehicle of any kind on the Air Operations Area ("AOA") of any County airport shall be required to attend and successfully complete the AOA Driver Training Course conducted from time to time by the Department. All such vehicle operators must possess and maintain current a valid, appropriate Florida driver's license.
2. All employees, while on the AOA and within designated security areas of a County airport, must conspicuously display on their person the Department issued identification badge, together with any additional materials required by any Federal agency having jurisdiction over such area(s).
3. All employees entering and working in or around arriving and departing international aircraft and facilities used or designated as controlled by the various Federal Inspection Services agencies may be subject to the consent and approval of such agencies.
4. The Union acknowledges and understands that the provisions of this Article are for the protection of all users of the County's airports and are intended to improve safety and reduce the incidence of thefts, cargo tampering, aircraft sabotage and other unlawful activities at the County's airports.
Airport Security and Safety. (a) Recognizing the special security and safety concerns of the Airport, the Tenant shall forthwith fully cooperate with the Landlord's requests for information or assistance relating to the Lease Area or Tenant Improvements or any of the Tenant's employees, agents, contractors or sub-contractors and shall agree to and assist in the immediate removal of any person or thing from the Lease Area or any building or structure, including Tenant’s Improvements.
(b) The Tenant shall provide and pay the cost of a security escort approved by the Landlord whenever access is required to restricted areas by the Tenant to persons not authorized by the Landlord to enter restricted areas.
(c) The Tenant shall provide the Landlord with keys or other means of obtaining access to the Tenant Improvements for the sole purpose of the Landlord responding to any fire, flood, airport security or other emergency in or about the Lease Area or Tenant Improvements and the Landlord shall keep the keys or other means of obtaining access in a secure manner with limited access.
(d) The Tenant shall comply with all security and safety measures instituted from time to time by the Landlord for the Airport, including all Airport signage and all measures related to restricted area passes, personnel identification systems and security clearance procedures.
(e) The Tenant shall not operate, or permit the operation of bicycles, motorcycles, dirt bikes, all-terrain vehicles or any other form of recreational vehicle or conveyance on any runway, apron, parking area, approach, taxiway or road on the Airport.
(f) The Tenant shall not cause or permit, or allow any employee, contractor, subcontractor, servant, agent, licensee, sublessee, occupant or invitee of the Tenant or any person for whom the Tenant is responsible to cause or permit, any vehicle or other thing that is likely to be a hazard to aviation to be placed or located or remain on any part of the Airport other than the Lease Area, and the Tenant shall remove same as soon as possible following Notice from the Landlord. If the Tenant fails to remove anything that the Landlord has directed be removed, the Landlord may remove and store or dispose of such item at the Tenant’s expense without liability to the Tenant for any loss or damage that may occur to the removed item or to the Tenant's business by reason thereof.
