Alternative Transportation. Ferry, bus, train or toll expenses an interpreter incurs to travel to provide in-person interpreter services from the interpreter’s home address, place of business or previous appointment on the same day will be reimbursed by the broker/coordinating entity based upon appropriate documentation.

Alternative Transportation. Where an employee is required to work unscheduled overtime, the Company will, on request of the employee, pay reasonable costs for alternative transportation home under the following conditions: a) Provided that normal means of transportation is not available. b) Where employees are parties in car pool arrangements, "normal means of transportation" shall be deemed to include car pools. c) For purposes of this Clause, "unscheduled overtime" is defined as that overtime occurring where an employee is notified by his/her supervisor during his/her scheduled shift that s/he will be required to continue working beyond his/her scheduled quitting time.

In this regard UCSB shall take the following actions: a. monitor and report periodically, but no less frequently than on a triennial basis on best practices in the UC system and on campuses nationally that promote transportation alternatives and other sustainability policies at college campuses; b. strive through the campus shared governance process to develop and implement stable finance mechanisms for alternative transportation programs and facilities from a wide range of sources that will provide adequate and reliable funding for TAP; c. expand upon existing campus efforts through shared governance process to structure transportation decision-making to encourage and support sustainable transportation policies; d. collaborate with SBCAG and MTD on transit planning to maximize transit access and use and increase transit services and ridership from current levels; e. continue, expand, and enhance campus community access to campus teleconferencing/videoconferencing facilities and telecommuting programs. f. increase the ease of student transit use, such as and including, but not necessarily limited to removing the need to manually obtain a MTD sticker each quarter or pursuing the use of “smart card” readers on all buses; subject to the support of transit providers. g. work with transit providers to expand transit service to all UC personnel. h. continue car-sharing programs to reduce the need for vehicle ownership by persons residing on campus, including but not limited to providing dedicated parking spaces and any necessary administrative facilities for Zip Cars or other car-sharing programs, as available, in each housing parking structure,

Alternative Transportation. The MBTA must provide alternative transportation to persons with disabilities when the fixed route system is not readily accessible or usable, in accordance with applicable ADA regulations. The system for providing alternative transportation must be designed and managed in a manner that ensures that customers are promptly advised of their right to alternative transportation, that the need for such services is promptly communicated to the responsible officials, and that services are provided in a timely manner.
Alternative Transportation. Xxxxx Theater shall designate areas for parking of scooters, bicycles, and such other alternative forms of transportation as may arise in the future. This designated area shall be pursued for installation in the 00xx Xxxxxx right-of-way amenity zone, but it is recognized that city agencies will have final say in the appropriate location for installation.
