Common use of Amendment of Documents Clause in Contracts

Amendment of Documents. At any time prior to the deadline for submission of tenders, the Procuring entity, for any reason, whether at its own initiative or in response to a clarification requested by a prospective tenderer, may modify the tender documents by amendment. All prospective candidates that have received the tender documents will be notified of the amendment in writing or by post and will be binding on them. In order to allow prospective tenderers reasonable time in which to take the amendment into account in preparing their tenders, the Procuring entity, at its discretion, may extend the deadline for the submission of tenders.
