Amendments and Extensions. a) This Agreement may only be modified in writing. Unless otherwise specified in this Agreement, modifications must be signed by the parties and approved by the SDOH, DHHS, and any other entities as required by law or regulation, prior to the end of the quarter in which the amendment is to be effective. b) This Agreement shall not be automatically renewed at its expiration. This Agreement may be extended by written amendment, in accordance with the procedures set forth in this Section. c) An extension to this Agreement may be granted for reasons including, but not limited, to the following: i) Negotiations for a successor Agreement will not be completed by the expiration date of the current contract; or ii) The Contractor has submitted a termination notice and transition of Enrollees will not be completed by the expiration date of the current contract.
