Common use of Amendments; Assignment Clause in Contracts

Amendments; Assignment. This Agreement, including any Work Plans or other attachments, may not be altered, amended or modified except by a written document signed by both Parties. Enzon will not assign this Agreement without the prior written consent of Savient and any purported assignment in contravention of this Section shall be null and void; provided, however, that either Party may assign this Agreement in connection with the sale of all or substantially all of its assets related to this Agreement or the Services to be provided hereunder; provided, further, that any such successor or assignee assumes and accepts in writing all obligations of the purported assigning party hereunder.
