Common use of Amendments to Law Clause in Contracts

Amendments to Law. A reference herein to a statute or to a regulation issued by a governmental authority includes the statute or regulation in force as of the date hereof, together with all amendments and supplements thereto and any statute or regulation substituted for such statute or regulation, unless the specific language or the context of the reference herein clearly includes only the statute or regulation in force as of the date hereof. A reference herein to a governmental authority, department, board, commission or other public body or to a public officer includes an entity or officer which or who succeeds to substantially the same functions as those performed by such public body or officer as of the date hereof, unless the specific language or the context of the reference herein clearly includes only such public body or public officer as of the date hereof.
