Common use of AMOUNT IN ARREARS Clause in Contracts

AMOUNT IN ARREARS. Any amounts in arrears in terms of this Contract shall bear interest at the prime overdraft rate charged from time to time by the Seller’s bank, plus 2 percentage points, which interest shall be calculated from the date upon which such amount became due to date of payment, both days inclusive. A certificate by the manager of the bank confirming the prime overdraft rate shall be prima facie proof of such rate.
