Common use of Appellate Matters Clause in Contracts

Appellate Matters. Irrespective of any authorization to engage in litigation in this OCC, or in a writing outside of this OCC, Outside Counsel is not authorized to proceed on any appeal, in any capacity, whether interlocutory or otherwise, whether as appellant, appellee, respondent, applicant, or otherwise, without first obtaining the written permission of the Texas Attorney General, First Assistant Attorney General, or Solicitor General.
