APPOINTMENT OF AGENTS AND SUBCUSTODIANS. The Custodian may at its discretion appoint or remove agents or subcustodians to carry out such of the provisions of this Agreement as the Custodian may from time to time direct. Notwithstanding the foregoing, each of the Customer and the Custodian hereby agree that no Transfer Agent will be deemed to be an agent or a subcustodian of the Custodian for purposes of this Section 2.9 or for any other provision of this Agreement.
