APPOINTMENT OF AGENTS AND SUBCUSTODIANS. State Street, as Custodian, may appoint (and may remove), only in compliance with the terms and conditions of the Fund's Declaration of Trust and By-Laws, as amended, any other bank, trust company or responsible commercial agent as its agent or Sub-Custodian to carry out such of the provisions of this Agreement as State Street may from time to time direct; provided, however, that the appointment of any such agent or Sub-Custodian shall not relieve State Street of any of its responsibilities under this Agreement.
