Common use of ARBITRATION AND APPLICABLE LAW Clause in Contracts

ARBITRATION AND APPLICABLE LAW. a. All disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with this contract including disputes relating to its validity, breach, ter- mination or nullity shall be finally settled under the Rules of Ar- bitration and Conciliation of the International Arbitral Centre of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in Vienna (Vienna Rules) by one arbitrator appointed in accordance with the said Rules. The language to be used in the arbitral proceedings shall be German. b. The contract shall be subject to substantive Austrian law. Ap- plicability of the conflict of laws (“International Private Law”) as well as the United Nations Convention on the International Sale of Goods shall be excluded.
