Arbitration Selection Procedure. For each arbitration hearing, the parties will select an arbitrator from the Arbitrator Selection List by alternately striking one (1) name at a time until only one (1) name remains. The parties will alternate striking the first (1st) name. Alternatively the parties may select an arbitrator by mutual agreement. Once selected, the Association shall have the responsibility of notifying the arbitrator. The notification letter shall be limited to informing the arbitrator of the name of the grievant(s), the location and number of hearing days required, and request the arbitrator provide both parties a list of available dates from which to mutually select. Neither party may provide any information to the arbitrator on the general or specific issue(s) of the case prior to the hearing, except as mutually agreed.
