Architect’s Review. The Architect will review and, if appropriate, approve submissions and will return them to the Contractor with the Architect’s stamp and signature applied thereto, indicating the timing for review and appropriate action in compliance with the Architect’s (or District’s) standard procedures. In the cases where a CM is hired by the District, CM may be the party that receives and performance logging and initial processing of the Samples. CM may, in some cases, reject samples that are not in conformance with Contract requirements.
Architect’s Review. After receipt of written notice from Contractor, the Architect will promptly review the pertinent condition, determine the necessity of Owner's obtaining additional exploration or tests with respect thereto, and advise Owner in writing (with a copy to Contractor) of Architect's findings and conclusions.
Architect’s Review. The Architect (and CM) will review the Dispute and take one or more of the following preliminary actions upon receipt of a Dispute: (1) request additional supporting data from the claimant; (2) submit a schedule to the parties indicating when the Architect expects to take action; (3) reject the Dispute in whole or in part, stating reasons for rejection; (4) recommend approval of the Dispute; or (5) suggest a compromise. The Architect may also, but is not obligated to, notify the Surety, if any, of the nature and amount of the Dispute..

The ARCHITECT will review claims and take one or more of the following preliminary actions within ten (10) days of receipt of a claim: request additional supporting data from the claimant; submit a schedule to the parties indicating when the ARCHITECT expects to take action; reject the claim in whole or in part, stating reasons for rejection; recommend approval of the claim by the other party; or suggest a compromise. The ARCHITECT may also, but is not obligated to, notify the Surety, if any, of the nature and amount of the claim.
Architect’s Review. 1. ARCHITECT will timely review and approve Shop Drawings and Samples in accordance with the schedule of Shop Drawings and Sample submittals acceptable to ARCHITECT. ARCHITECT’s review and approval will be only to determine if the items covered by the submittals will, after installation or incorporation in the Work, conform to the information given in the Contract Documents and be compatible with the design concept of the completed Project as a functioning whole as indicated by the Contract Documents.
2. ARCHITECT’s review and approval will not extend to means, methods, techniques, sequences, or procedures of construction (except where a particular means, method, technique, sequence, or procedure of construction is specifically and expressly called for by the Contract Documents) or to safety precautions or programs incident thereto. The review and approval of a separate item as such will not indicate approval of the assembly in which the item functions.
3. ARCHITECT’s review and approval of Shop Drawings or Samples shall not relieve CONTRACTOR from responsibility for any variation from the requirements of the Contract Documents unless CONTRACTOR has in writing called ARCHITECT’s attention to each such variation at the time of each submittal as required by paragraph 6.17.D.3 and ARCHITECT has given written approval of each such variation by specific written notation thereof incorporated in or accompanying the Shop Drawing or Sample approval; nor will any approval by ARCHITECT relieve CONTRACTOR from responsibility for complying with the requirements of paragraph 6.17.D.1.

Architect’s Review. The review of the Contractor’s Application for Payment by the Architect is based on the Architect’s observations at the Site and the data comprising the Application for Payment that the Work has progressed to the point indicated and that, to the best of the Architect’s knowledge, information, and belief, the quality of the Work is in accordance with the Contract Documents. The foregoing representations are subject to an evaluation of the Work for conformance with the Contract Documents, to results of subsequent tests and inspections, to minor deviations from the Contract Documents correctable prior to completion, and to specific qualifications expressed by the Architect. The issuance of a Certificate for Payment will further constitute a representation that the Contractor is entitled to payment in the amount certified. However, the review by the Architect will not be a representation that the Architect has:
A. Made exhaustive or continuous on-site inspections to check the quality or quantity of the Work;
B. Reviewed construction means, methods, techniques, sequences, or procedures;
C. Reviewed copies of requisitions received from Subcontractors, material and equipment suppliers, and other data requested by the District to substantiate the Contractor’s right to payment; or
D. Made an examination to ascertain how or for what purpose the Contractor has used money previously paid on account of the Contract Sum.
Architect’s Review. A. Architect will review the contractor’s submissions as expeditiously as possible. Contractor should allow sufficient time for each review and schedule his submissions accordingly.
B. Contractor shall notify the Architect of any review he feels has been delayed at least one week prior to the date approved is required to maintain the project schedule.
