Common use of Arrest of Artist Clause in Contracts

Arrest of Artist. ‌ This Clause shall not apply to any case or any set of conditions where its enforcement is illegal. In the case of an arrest because of the nature of the play or its production, the Theatre shall immediately furnish bail for the Artist, and in the event of its failure to do so, shall provide for payment to the Artist for any expenses incurred by the Artist in this regard. After an arrest, the Artist may demand a suspension of performance pending the outcome of legal proceedings, and such suspension shall not terminate or otherwise affect the terms of the ITA Engagement Contract.
