ARTICLE JOB POSTING. Where a permanent vacancy occurs in a classification within the bargaining unit or a new position within the bargaining unit established by the Hospital, such vacancy shall be posted by the Hospital for a period of five days excluding Saturday, Sunday and holidays. The posting shall stipulate the qualifications, classification, rate of pay, department and shift and a copy shall be provided to the Chief Xxxxxxx. All applications are to be made in writing within the posting period. Vacancies created by the filling of a posted vacancy need not be posted, however, consideration for such subsequent vacancies will be given to employees in this bargaining unit who have a request for transfer on file. The name of the successful applicant will be posted on the bulletin board and unsuccessful applicants will be notified. Where there are no successful applicants from within this bargaining unit positions referred to in Article and employees in other service units at the Hospital will be considered for such positions prior to considering persons not employed by the Hospital. The employees eligible for consideration shall be limited to those employees who have applied for the position in accordance with Article and and selection shall be made in accordance with Article above. No grievance may be filed concerning such temporary arrangements. The successful applicant will be placed in the vacancy for a trial period not exceeding forty-five (45) working days and if the employee proves satisfactory, then he shall be considered permanently assigned to the vacancy. If the employee proves unsatisfactory during that time, or if the employee feels he is unable to perform the duties of the vacancy to which he is posted, the employee will be returned to his former position at his former salary or rate of pay, as will any other employee in the Bargaining Unit who was promoted or transferred by reason of such placing. Newly hired employees shall be terminated and such termination shall not be subject to the grievance and arbitration procedure. Successful applicants and newly hired employees will not be permitted to apply for job or any subsequent vacancies for a period of six (6) months, unless otherwise mutually agreed.

ARTICLE JOB POSTING. The successful applicant will be placed in the vacancy positions which were posted for a trial period not exceeding forty-five sixty (4560) working days and if the employee proves satisfactory, then he she shall be considered permanently assigned to the vacancyposition. ARTICLE JOB POSTING. Where a permanent The Employer shall post all job vacancies within one (1) month of the vacancy occurs in a classification within the bargaining unit or a new position within the bargaining unit established by the Hospital, such vacancy shall be posted by the Hospital for a period of five (5) days excluding Saturday(exclusive of Saturdays, Sunday Sundays and holidays) before any such job is permanently filled, unless the employer advises the Union in writing that it does not intend to fill the vacancy. The posting shall stipulate Employer agrees not to hire a person from outside the qualifications, classification, rate of pay, department and shift and a copy shall be provided bargaining unit to the Chief Xxxxxxx. All applications are to be made in writing within the posting period. Vacancies created by the filling of fill a posted vacancy need not be posted, however, consideration for such subsequent vacancies will be given to until applications from employees in this bargaining unit who have a request for transfer on file. Such requests will be considered as applications for posted vacancies as well as subsequent vacancies. No grievance may be filed concerning such temporary arrangements. The employer will use their best efforts to ensure that the successful applicant is placed as quickly as possible. Temporary vacancies which are expected to exceed three (3) calendar months will be placed posted and filled in accordance with the provisions of this article I except as provided below: In matters of filling posted temporary vacancies which are expected to be of six (6) months or lesser duration, the Employer will first consider those employee applicants who work within the Department in which the temporary vacancy for a trial period not exceeding forty-five (45) working days and if arises, applying the employee proves satisfactory, then he shall be considered permanently assigned selection criteria set out in Article to the vacancythose applicants. If the employee proves unsatisfactory during that time, or if the employee feels he Employer is unable to perform fill such temporary vacancy from those applicants who work within the duties Department, then the Employer will next consider the employee applicants from outside of the Department, applying the selection criteria set out in Article Where such vacancy to which he is posted, the employee will be returned to his former position at his former salary or rate of pay, as will any other employee in the Bargaining Unit who was promoted or transferred by reason of such placing. Newly hired employees shall be terminated and such termination shall not be subject to the grievance and arbitration procedure. Successful applicants and newly hired employees will not be permitted to apply for job or any subsequent vacancies for a period of extends beyond six (6) months, unless otherwise mutually agreedthe parties may by mutual agreement extend the successful incumbent's filling of the vacancy. The last paragraph of Article will continue to govern the filling of temporary vacancies expected to exceed six (6) months duration.
