Articles for Publication. The University agrees that a staff member may prepare and publish articles and technical papers in professional (including learned) journals, provided only that such publication activities shall not conflict or interfere with the staff member's responsibilities and duties.
Articles for Publication. (a) Subject to the Public Service Act, the Employer agrees that an employee may publish articles and technical papers in professional media; identification of authorship will be required in Ministry publications where practicable. (b) The Employer agrees that any employee, subject to the Public Service Act and with prior notification to the employee's immediate supervisor, may prepare and publish articles and technical papers on personal time, provided only that such publication shall not conflict or interfere with the employee's professional responsibilities and duties. (c) The Employer agrees that original articles and technical papers prepared by an employee within the scope of employment will be retained in appropriate files for the normal life of such documents.
