Artificial Limb Expenses Clause Samples
Artificial Limb Expenses. If the insured’s treatment as the result of an accident or illness requires an artificial limb within the policy period, the expenses connected to the artificial limb (hand, arm, leg prostheses that are not for cosmetic purposes) are paid within the limit specified in the policy table and the special and general conditions. The artificial limb coverage is only for the apparatus (material) being used. Artificial limbs that are to be used for pre-existing disabilities, the renewal of pre-existing artificial limbs and dental prostheses are excluded from the policy coverage.
