Common use of Assignability of Contract Clause in Contracts

Assignability of Contract. The parties agree that the expertise and experience of Artist are material considerations for this Agreement. Except as may be specifically authorized under this Agreement, Artist shall not assign or transfer any interest in this Agreement nor the performance of any of Artist’s obligations hereunder, and any attempt by Artist to so assign this Agreement or any rights, duties or obligations arising hereunder shall be void and of no effect unless prior written consent is given by City. However, nothing in this section shall be deemed to prevent Artist, at Artist’s sole expense, from relying on or utilizing the services of such other consultant or contractor as Artist may require to complete the Artist’s Services.
