Common use of Assignment and Unauthorized Occupancy Clause in Contracts

Assignment and Unauthorized Occupancy. You alone may occupy the Accommodation. This Contract and your Accommodation cannot be assigned, “sublet”, lent or otherwise shared with another person (regardless of whether money or other consideration is exchanged) without the prior written authorization of the University; such authorization is exercised by the University in its absolute discretion and may be withheld or withdrawn for any reason. Unauthorized assignment, “subletting”, lending or sharing is a breach of this Contract and may result in the eviction of you and the other person(s) occupying or sharing your Accommodation. Use of an unoccupied second space in double rooms by a person not assigned to that space by the University is unauthorized occupancy.
