Common use of Assignment by Landlord Clause in Contracts

Assignment by Landlord. In the event of the sale or lease by the Landlord of its interest in the Lands or Building or any part or parts thereof and, in conjunction therewith, the assignment by the Landlord of this Lease or any interest of the Landlord herein, the Landlord shall be relieved of any liability under this Lease.

Assignment by Landlord. In the event of the sale sale, lease or lease by other transfer of the Landlord of its interest in the Lands or Building or any part of the Building by the Landlord, or parts thereof and, in conjunction therewith, the assignment by the Landlord of this Lease or any interest of the Landlord hereinhereunder, to the extent that the purchaser, tenant or assignee assumes the obligations of the Landlord hereunder, the Landlord shall shall, thereupon and without further agreement, be relieved freed of any all liability under this Leasewith respect to such obligations.
