Assignment of Teacher Aides. 1. Aides shall work under the direct supervision of the principal or teacher(s) to whom the principal delegates this responsibility. Every effort will be made to assign teacher aides only with teacher's consent, or in the case of assignment aides to a team, only with the consent of the majority of the team. 2. In all schools, whenever possible, a substitute will be hired immediately in the absence of a teacher aide or clerical personnel.
