ASSIGNMENTS AND TRANSFER. A. Should a change in assignment between buildings or between job assignments be anticipated, the principal will inform the bargaining unit member concerned. At the bargaining unit member’s request, the principal will meet with the individual to discuss the proposed change. The Cafeteria manager shall make job assignments within each cafeteria and building assignments with approval of the Superintendent. B. A bargaining unit member shall have the right to request transfer from building to building by making a formal written request to the Superintendent no later than June 1st of the current school year. The request for voluntary transfer shall be kept on file for at least one (1) year. C. Any employee transferred to a new classification shall be placed on the increment step in the new classification based on his/her current seniority status with the School Board. D. Nothing in this or the following Article shall preclude the Superintendent’s right to transfer under Section 3319.01 O.R.C.; nor the Board’s right to determine when a vacancy exists, and whether or not to fill such vacancy.
