Common use of Assistance of Mediator Clause in Contracts

Assistance of Mediator. The parties agree that during the term of this agreement they may, on mutual agreement, request the assistance of a mediator in resolving grievances which may arise. It is understood that such procedure is not intended to impede the Grievance Provisions of the collective agreement, but may be initiated as a step prior to arbitration.
