AUDIOLOGY, HEARING Aid Services. AND PRODUCTS 18 NYCRR Section 505;31 (a)(1)(2) and Section 43 of the MMIS Hearing Aid Provider Manual a) Hearing aid services and products are provided in compliance with Article 37-A of the General Business Law when medically necessary to alleviate disability caused by the loss or impairment of hearing. Hearing aid services include: selecting, fitting and dispensing of hearing aids, hearing aid checks following dispensing of hearing aids, conformity evaluation, and hearing aid repairs. b) Audiology services include audiometric examinations and testing, hearing aid evaluations and hearing aid prescriptions or recommendations, as medically indicated.
