Common use of Authority of the Chief Executive Clause in Contracts

Authority of the Chief Executive. 6.1 The Chief Executive may, in writing, delegate any power or function that the Chief Executive has under this Agreement to another person or position within the Agency or within the ACT Public Service, subject to directions, except for this power of delegation. 6.2 This does not limit the power of the Chief Executive to authorise a person to act for and on the Chief Executive’s behalf. 6.3 The powers conferred though the operation of clause 6.1 will not be sub-delegated. 6.4 To avoid doubt, in this Agreement reference to the Chief Executive may be taken to mean delegate where the Chief Executive has delegated the particular power or function under clause 6.1.
