Common use of Authorization of Distributor Clause in Contracts

Authorization of Distributor. (a) The Distributor will serve as distributor on an agency basis for the Contracts. This authorization is exclusive until this Agreement is terminated or the authorization is otherwise terminated pursuant to an amendment hereto. The Distributor represents that it will actively engage in its duties under this Agreement on a continuous basis while the Registration Statements (or any other registration statements filed and declared effective in lieu thereof) for the Contracts are effective, consistent with its business and relationship with Chase pursuant to the Omnibus Agreement described in Section 14 2 hereof, and subject to applicable material market and regulatory conditions and any other restrictions that may become applicable to its activities. Anchor National reserves the right at any time to suspend or limit the public offering of the Contracts, upon written notice to Distributor.
