Common use of Automobile Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance Clause in Contracts

Automobile Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance. The Contractor shall take out and maintain during the life of the Contract such automobile public liability and property damage insurance as shall protect him and any subcontractor performing work covered by this Contract from claims for damages for personal injury, including accidental death as well as from claims for property damage which may arise from operations under this Contract, whether such operations be by himself or by any subcontractor, or by any one directly or indirectly employed by either of them and the amounts of such insurance shall be as follows: (1) Automobile Public Liability Insurance in an amount not less than FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($500,000.) for bodily injuries, including wrong-ful death by any one person, and subject to the same limit for each person in an amount not less than ONE MILLION DOLLARS ($1,000,000.) on account of one accident. (2) Automobile Property Damage Insurance in an amount of not less than ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($100,000.) for damages on account of any one accident and in an amount of not less than TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($200,000.) for damages on account of all accidents.
