Availability of Substitutes. Working with the affected employee, the supervisor will determine the appropriateness of utilizing a substitute for absent employees. Further, when substitutes are called in their compensation will be fully funded by the District and the building/site budget will not be affected. Finally, the parties agree that the rate of pay for substitutes will be based on Step 0 of the classification they are subbing for. Current employees will be paid at their current step within the classification they are subbing for.
