Common use of Back-Up Warning Alarms Clause in Contracts

Back-Up Warning Alarms. Every vehicle used under this Contract (including spare and maintenance vehicles) must be equipped with an automatic audible alarm system installed behind the rear axle. The said alarm system on each vehicle must comply in every respect with the official published standards of the Society of Automotive Engineers (hereinafter expressed as “SAE”) entitled, “Back-up Alarm Standards,” (SAE No. 994b) specifying 97±4dBA for rubber tired vehicles as well as all applicable Federal, State of New York, City of New York and/or BOE laws, bylaws, rules, regulations and policies as the same currently exist or may be created, added, deleted, updated, recodified, revised, amended or otherwise changed during the term of this Extension and Amendment Agreement.
