The district has identified three improvement priorities: (1) Improve student learning and achievement; the measures used to evaluate progress will be reviewing reading and math data from state and local assessments as well as aligning curriculum to Illinois Learning Standards within a grade level and across grade levels and content areas. (2) Educating the whole student; this will be measured by identifying social emotional needs of students at each grade level and providing professional learning opportunities for staff members on evolving student demographics and cultural diversity.
