Common use of Backups and copies Clause in Contracts

Backups and copies. You may: (i) make backup copies of the Software for the sole purpose of reinstalling the Software; (ii) make one copy of the Software for use in a testing environment solely for internal testing purposes; and (iii) provided that you have paid the additional disaster recovery licence fees, make and install one copy of the Software at a disaster recovery site. In each case you shall record the number and location of all copies of the Software and use all reasonable endeavours to prevent unauthorised copying.
