Common use of Basic Options Clause in Contracts

Basic Options. The first option for overload will be stipend. The amount of the stipend will be determined by a combination of two factors: (1) The amount of equivalent paraeducator time, and (2) The base hourly rate of a paraeducator In lieu of receiving a stipend per the above, the employee may select paraeducator time or a stipend to be used for the purchase of instructional materials for classroom use. Employees selecting instructional materials shall receive a 10% higher stipend than equivalent remuneration or paraeducator time. Materials purchased are the property of the District and, as such, are subject to all rules and regulations governing publicly funded expenditures. Any single item must be purchased solely with District funds.
