Benefit Commencement Date – Disability. Notwithstanding anything in the Plan to the contrary, if a Participant incurs a Disability, whether prior to or after the Participant’s Separation from Service, as a result of a condition that arose prior to the Participant’s Separation from Service and the Participant had 10 years of Continuous Service at the time of Separation from Service, the Participant shall receive a benefit equal to the excess of the benefit calculated pursuant to Section 4.1 above, provided that such benefit shall not be reduced for the Equivalent Actuarial Value, over the benefit, if any, then actually being provided by reason of the Participant’s Separation from Service (the “Disability Benefit”). A Participant’s Disability Benefit shall begin to be paid within 60 days after the first day of the month coincident with or next following the date of the Participant’s Disability; provided that the Participant remits the letter from the Social Security Administration within 10 business days following the Participant’s receipt of such letter.
