Benefit Payment Period Due to the Employee’s Illness or Injury. Benefit payments on account of temporary total disability due to illness or injury and while the employee remains under the care of a licensed physician commence no earlier than on the day immediately following exhaustion of all of the affected employee’s accrued sick leave and other paid leave, or thirty (30) days of continuous disability, whichever is greater, for a period not to exceed 26 weeks from the date the benefit payments commenced. Payments to the employee may continue until the earliest of the following dates:
