Bond Mutilated, Lost, Destroyed or Stolen Sample Clauses
The 'Bond Mutilated, Lost, Destroyed or Stolen' clause outlines the procedures and requirements for replacing a bond that has been physically damaged, lost, destroyed, or stolen. Typically, this clause specifies the documentation or evidence a bondholder must provide—such as affidavits, indemnities, or proof of loss—before a replacement bond will be issued. Its core practical function is to protect the issuer from potential fraud or double claims while ensuring that legitimate bondholders can recover their investment if the original bond certificate is no longer available.
