Broadcast of Telephone Conversations. Before recording a telephone conversation for broadcast or broadcasting such a conversation simultaneously with its occurrent, any party to the call must be informed that the call will be broadcast or will be recorded for later broadcast, and the party's consent to such broadcast must be obtained. This requirement does not apply to calls initiated by the other party which are made in a context in which it is customary for the station to broadcast telephone calls. Sponsorship Identification When money, service, or other valuable consideration is either directly or indirectly paid or promised as part of an arrangement to transmit any programming, the station at the time of broadcast shall announce (1) that the matter is sponsored, either whole or in part; and (2) by whom or on whose behalf the matter is sponsored.
