Broker. Dealer shall be responsible for determining the suitability for recommendations and sales for Registered Representatives and Brokers of Contracts and Policies. Broker-Dealer shall be solely responsible for determining the suitability of recommendations for purchases and sales of Contracts that are made by its Registered Representatives. Broker-Dealer shall take steps to ensure that Registered Representatives appointed by it shall not make recommendations to an applicant to purchase a Contract in the absence of reasonable grounds to believe that the purchase of the Contract is suitable for such applicant, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations including NASD Rules, regulations and administrative policies.
