Common use of Building In-service Program Clause in Contracts

Building In-service Program. i. The principal and faculty advisory council, or its designee, of each school may plan or choose an in-service committee to plan in-service programs designed to meet the needs of that school. ii. The first staff in-service meeting shall be set before the end of the preceding school year by FAC. The FAC will propose five (5) dates for the remaining three (3) in-service meetings which will be set by September 30th. The staff will vote through an anonymous vote conducted by the SEA building representative who is a member of the FAC. The three meetings receiving the most votes will be established as the meeting dates. No more than one of these meetings may be held in any month. The meetings shall be no longer than one and one-half (1 ½)hours. Teacher participation will be required unless excused by the building principal. iii. To the extent that revenues available permit, the school district will provide in its annual budget an appropriation for building in-service programs.
