Common use of Cancellation for Non-Payment of Dues/Premiums Clause in Contracts

Cancellation for Non-Payment of Dues/Premiums. Blue Shield or CCSB may cancel this Contract for non-payment of Premiums. If Premiums are not received when due, coverage will end the day following the 30-day grace period, as described in Part V.F. hereof. The Employer will be liable for all Premiums accrued while this Contract continues in force including those accrued during the 30-day grace period. In such case, Blue Shield will send a Notice of End of Coverage to the Employer and enrolled Employees no later than five calendar days after the date coverage ends. A new application for coverage will be required by the Employer and a new Contract will be issued only upon demonstration that the Employer meets all underwriting requirements at the time of application.
