Card Acceptance. When accepting a Card, Merchant will follow the steps provided by Servicer for accepting Cards and will: (a) determine in good faith and to the best of its ability that the Card is valid on its face; (b) obtain Authorization from the Card Issuer to charge the Cardholder's account; (c) unless the Sales Draft is electronically generated or is the result of a mail, internet, phone or preauthorized order, (i) obtain an Imprint of the Card including embossed data from the merchant imprinter plate; and (ii) obtain the Cardholder's signature on the Sales Draft and compare that signature to the signature on the Card; (d) enter a description of the goods or services sold and the price thereof (including any applicable taxes); (e) deliver a true and completed copy of the Sales Draft to the Cardholder at the time the goods are delivered or services performed, or, if the Sales Draft is prepared by a point-of-sale terminal, at the time of the sale; (f) offer the Sales Draft to Servicer for purchase according to Servicer's procedures and the terms of this Agreement; and (g) make a Card Imprint, if the Transaction is not based upon a mail, internet, phone or pre-authorized order.

Card Acceptance. When accepting a Card, Merchant will follow the steps and guidelines set forth in the Network Rules or otherwise provided by Provider from time to time for accepting Cards and in particular, will: (a) determine in good faith and to the best of its ability that the Card is valid on its face; (b) obtain Authorization from the Card Issuer to charge the Cardholder's account; (c) comply with the additional terms set forth in in this Agreement with respect to Telephone Orders, Mail Orders, Internet, Preauthorized Orders and Installment Orders and with respect to any Card Not Present Transactions; (d) document the approved Transaction in accordance with this Agreement and the Network Rules; and (e) deliver a true and completed copy of the Transaction Record to the Cardholder at the time the goods are delivered or services performed or, if the Transaction Record is prepared by a point-of-sale terminal, at the time of the sale. Except to the extent otherwise provided for in this Agreement, each Transaction Record must contain the following information: (i) Merchant’s legal name and/or registered trade name, Merchant’s location, and the Merchant’s merchant identification number designated by the Provider; (ii) the truncated version of the Card number as provided in the Network Rules; (iii) a brief description of the goods or services involved in the Transaction; (iv) the selling price, together with applicable taxes, other charges or gratuities, and the total amount of the Transaction; (v) signature of the Cardholder or authorized user as described in this Agreement, date of the Transaction and the Transaction approval number; (vi) any additional requirements of the Card Networks that may be applicable to specific merchant or transaction types, as amended from time to time; and (vii) such additional information which may from time to time be required by Provider, the Card Networks, or Card Issuers. Merchant will not transmit a Transaction Record to Provider until such time as: (i) the Transaction is completed; (ii) the goods or services have been shipped or provided, except as set forth in this Agreement and the Network Rules; or (iii) a Cardholder consent is obtained for a Recurring Transaction in accordance with terms of this Agreement and the Network Rules.

Card Acceptance. MERCHANT agrees to accept American Express Cards in accordance with the terms of this Agreement and agrees to adhere to the American Express Operating Regulations and the American Express OptBlue Program Merchant Requirements, which are both incorporated herein by reference and made a part hereof for all purposes, and are also available at xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx/xxxxxxxxxxxxx. MERCHANT ACKNOWLEDGES THAT IT MAY CHOOSE NOT TO ACCEPT AMERICAN EXPRESS CARDS AT ANY TIME DURING THE TERM OF THIS AGREEMENT AND SUCH ACTION DOES NOT DIRECTLY NOR INDIRECTLY AFFECT MERCHANT’S RIGHTS TO ACCEPT ANY OTHER PAYMENT CARD. MERCHANT acknowledges that it is the MERCHANT’s sole obligation to ensure that it possesses the most current version of the American Express Operating Regulations and the American Express OptBlue Program Merchant Requirements as they are amended from time to time.
Card Acceptance. When accepting a Card Present transaction, Merchant will follow the steps provided by Peoples Trust for accepting Cards and will: (a) Determine in good faith and to the best of its ability that the Card is valid on its face; (b) obtain Authorization from the Card Issuer to charge the Cardholder’s account; (c) unless the Sales Draft is electronically generated or is the result of a mail, internet, phone or preauthorized order, (i) obtain an Imprint of the Card including embossed data from the merchant imprinter; and (ii) except where Cardholder verification requires the processing of the Cardholder’s PIN, obtain the Cardholder’s signature on the Sales Draft and compare that signature to the signature on the Card, where Cardholder verification requires the processing of the Cardholder’s PIN, in lieu of obtaining the Cardholder’s signature, Merchant shall have the Cardholder enter Cardholder’s PIN to process the Transaction; (d) enter a description of the goods or services sold and the price thereof (including any applicable taxes); (e) deliver a true and completed copy of the Sales Draft to the Cardholder at the time the goods are delivered or services performed, or, if the Sales Draft is prepared by a point-of-sale terminal, at the time of the sale; and (f) offer the Sales Draft to Peoples Trust (but not Payroc,) for purchase according to procedures and the terms of the Merchant Agreement.
Card Acceptance. When accepting a Card, Merchant will follow the steps provided by Servicers for accepting Cards and will: (a) Determine in good faith and to the best of its ability that the Card is valid on its face, and that the back of the Card is not disfigured or tampered with. (b) Obtain Authorization before completing any Card transaction. Where Authorization is obtained, Merchant will be deemed to warrant the true identity of the customer as the Cardholder. (c) Obtain an Imprint of the Card unless the Sales Draft is electronically generated from a swiped Card transaction or is the result of an Internet, mail, phone or preauthorized order. (d) If Merchant’s terminal is unable to read the magnetic stripe on the Card, Merchant will obtain an imprint of the Card and the Cardholder's signature on the imprinted draft before processing the Sales Draft. (e) Enter a description of the goods or services sold and the price thereof (including any applicable taxes) on the Sales Draft. (f) Refrain from writing any personal information of the Cardholder on the Sales Draft. (g) Obtain the Cardholder's signature on the completed Sales Draft and match that signature to the signature on the Card. (h) Deliver a true and completed copy of the Sales Draft to the Cardholder at the time of delivery of the goods or performance of the services, or if the Sales Draft is prepared by a point-of-sale terminal, at the time of the sale. (i) Offer the Sales Draft to Servicers for purchase according to the Servicers procedures and the terms of this Agreement. (j) Legibly reproduce without alteration of the original Card transaction receipt, the Cardholder’s name, account number, expiration date and Merchant’s name and place of business if that information is not legibly imprinted on the Sales Draft. Also, for MasterCard transactions, Merchant will legibly reproduce the name of the Card Issuer as it appears on the face of the Card.
Card Acceptance. Merchant must accept the Card as payment for goods and services (other than those goods and services prohibited) sold, or (if applicable) for charitable contributions made, at all of its Establishments, except as expressly permitted by state statute. Merchant is jointly and severally liable for the obligations of Merchant’s Establishments under the Agreement.

Card Acceptance. User shall follow the procedures set forth in the Rules with respect to Card acceptance. User shall submit only Card Transactions between User and a bona fide Cardholder, and will not submit any Card Transaction that User knows or should know is fraudulent or made for a fraudulent purpose, made for any purpose related to any illegal or prohibited activity (including but not limited to money laundering or financing of terrorist activities), or not authorized by the Cardholder. User will only process Card Transactions for the services and goods indicated in this Exhibit E or on the User Application and sold directly by User, in accordance with the Rules. All Card Transactions shall be submitted and processed in accordance with applicable law and Rules. Without limiting the foregoing, User will abide by the User Guidelines attached as Attachment 1.
Card Acceptance. If you elect to accept American Express Cards under the Agreement, You must accept the American Express Card as payment for goods and services sold (other than those goods or service s identified under “Prohibited Uses of the American Express Card" below), or (if applicable) for charitable contributions made, at all of your establishments, except as expressly permitted by applicable law. You are jointly and severally liable for the obligations of your establishments under the Agreement.
Card Acceptance. (a) Merchant has the option of limiting its card acceptance to any or all of the following card types: Visa prepaid debit, Visa signature debit, Visa credit (as applicable Rules may allow), MasterCard prepaid debit, MasterCard signature debit, MasterCard credit (as applicable Rules may allow), Discover Network prepaid debit, Discover Network signature debit, Discover credit (as applicable Rules may allow), and American Express credit (as applicable Rules may allow). Merchant’s Services will initially be set up to accept all debit and prepaid card types. To add credit cards or limit Merchant’s acceptance, Merchant may contact Service Providers and if allowed by the Rules such instructions will be implemented without unreasonable delay by Service Providers. (b) When accepting a Card, Merchant will follow the steps provided by Service Providers, and will: (i) Determine in good faith and to the best of its ability that the Card is valid on its face; (ii) Check the effective date (if any) and the expiration date of the Card, and, if physical card is presented, examine any card security features (such as a hologram) included on the Card; (iii) Obtain Authorization before completing any Transaction; (iv) Use commercially reasonable processes to determine the identity of the customer (including any applicable OFAC screening as indicated in the Merchant Application) and where Authorization is obtained, warrant the customer owns the Authorized Card; (v) Where applicable, enter a description of the goods sold or services provided and the price thereof (including any applicable taxes); (vi) Obtain the Cardholder’s electronic or physical signature on the Sales Draft, when required according to the
